How to Get a FULL PRICE OFFER For Your House

On this episode of the "Your House, Your Equity!" Podcast: Home Seller's Edition, we're discussing tips to get a full price offer on your house either as a For Sale By Owner (FSBO) or with a listing agent.
TIP #1 - Ask for Proof of Prequalification
Before you schedule a showing, always ask potential buyers to send you their prequalification letter to be sure they are preapproved for the full listing price of your house. If their letter shows they are preapproved for less than your full listing price, you can always ask how they were planning to get the rest of the money to afford your house.
TIP #2 - Use Incentives
Set the expectation by leading with an incentive in your property description that is available only with a full price offer. For example, "home warranty included with a full-price offer."
Save an extra incentive for the day of the showing just in case your buyers need a little push to seal the deal. For example, if the house doesn't have a washer and dryer and the buyers mention they don't have their own, you can offer them a washer and dryer if they make a full price offer that same day.
TIP #3 - Be Patient/Stand Your Ground
Sometimes it just takes time for the market to bring the buyer. Whether you list with a real estate agent or not, waiting for the right buyer to come along is a natural part of the process.
But while you're waiting, don't be afraid to put a little extra effort into getting your listing out there!
